Demolition update: progress continues on Regent Park revitalization

Regent Park’s demolition phase nears final stages.

The demolition of Phase 4a lands in Regent Park is progressing, a part of Toronto Community Housing’s (TCHC) ongoing revitalization. The demolition takes place at the lands covering 319, 325 and 355 Gerrard Street and 274 Sackville Street.

Work continued this fall as we focused on the structural demolition of 274 Sackville Street, making sure the highest standards of safety and quality in site preparation are met. Full completion of demolition is anticipated by October 31, 2024.

To date, considerable progress has been made with many key site preparations now completed. This lays the groundwork for the next phase of this exciting project.

As we move through the final stages of demolition, on-site crews remain dedicated to making sure the work is conducted efficiently – balancing speed with safety and careful diligence. We thank residents and neighbours for their ongoing patience and support in this critical phase of the work. Momentum in Regent Park remains strong. We look forward to continued progress on the revitalization as together we build a vibrant future for this community in line with residents’ overall vision.
