Are you curious about the exciting world of medicine and surgery? Do you dream of making a difference in people’s lives in healthcare? If so, we’re thrilled to announce an exciting program designed to introduce high school students in grades 10-12 from TCHC to pursue a career in medicine.

    Through a series of workshops, interactive sessions, and mentorship opportunities, The Next Surgeon program gives you a glimpse of what it’s like to work in the medical field. We provide resources and guidance to help you navigate the educational requirements to support your journey toward becoming a healthcare professional. 

    The Next Surgeon is delivered in partnership with the University of Toronto, Ethicon (a J&J company) and Unity Health Toronto.

    Registration information

    Registration for the 2025 The Next Surgeon Program is now open. Complete the online form to apply for The Next Surgeon Program. The deadline to register is Thursday, November 14, 2024.

    Attend an information session

    We’re holding in-person information sessions for applicants to learn more about the program, ask questions, and receive support on their applications. Here are the dates for the upcoming information sessions. 

    • East region – Monday, October 28, 2024, at 170 Fairview Mall Dr., from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
    • Central region – Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 150 River St., from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

    • West region – Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 495 Wilson Ave., from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
