Toronto Community Housing launches vendor diversity socio-demographic questionnaire
TCHC is inviting vendors to participate in a voluntary questionnaire to help improve equity, diversity and inclusion of our vendors and procurement process.
To improve the procurement processes and increase the diversity of vendors, Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) is inviting vendors to complete a voluntary vendor diversity demographic questionnaire.
This questionnaire aims to review application trends and inform how we can improve equity, diversity, and inclusion of our vendors and the procurement process through our Confronting Anti-Black Racism (PDF) and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (PDF) strategies.
The information gathered from this questionnaire will allow us to:
- Promote equity, diversity and inclusion and identify any systemic barriers and gaps experienced by vendors who want to provide services to TCHC.
- Understand how our vendors prioritize equity, diversity, and inclusion and confronting anti-Black racism within their businesses and services.
- Support local economic growth and provide more economic opportunities to vendors who work or live in the communities we serve.
- Enhance supplier relationship management and identify opportunities for collaboration or capacity building.
- Meet our commitment to corporate initiatives and develop recommendations that align with our CABR and EDI strategies.
FAQs
How can vendors participate in this questionnaire?
Existing vendors will receive an email from TCHC with a link to the questionnaire. The questionnaire is open until Friday, December 13, 2024.
I am a vendor and did not receive a link to the questionnaire, but I am interested in participating.
If you want to participate in the vendor diversity demographic questionnaire, please send an email to diversity@torontohousing.ca.
How will TCHC use the data results from the questionnaire?
The questionnaire is anonymous and confidential, which allows vendors who participate in this questionnaire to anonymously share the demographic makeup of their owners and employees. Individual responses from vendors will not be shared publicly, nor will the public be able to identify who has participated in the questionnaire.
A summary of the responses to this diversity questionnaire will be used internally to help assess application trends and inform the development of future programs. An aggregate summary of responses to this diversity questionnaire may be presented in public-facing documents to highlight our efforts under our Confronting Anti-Black Racism Strategy.
Where can I learn more about TCHC’s CABR and EDI strategies?
