Meet Jessica

Jessica Hawes began as Acting Chief Development Officer on September 19, 2022. She is an architect, planner and urban designer with more than 20 years of experience in the sustainable planning, design and construction of urban spaces and cities.

Jessica's planning and architectural expertise has focused on the design, approval and construction of buildings, communities and public spaces that promote healthy cities. Her experience extends internationally to residential developments, public spaces, art centres, retail centres, waterfronts, and office and commercial spaces in North America, the Europe and Southern Africa.

Prior to her appointment as Acting Chief Development Officer, Jessica was Senior Development Director responsible for leading Toronto Community Housing's revitalization projects in Lawrence Heights, 250 Davenport and Firgrove.
