In some communities, the candidate has been acclaimed. This means that the number of nominees was equal to or less than the number of available positions, and so the candidate is elected without opposition. There was not an election in communities with acclamations, as voting is not needed.

Don't see your community or building? That may mean that there was no election. Check if your community is not having an election.

      • "My name is Josiane Aboungono, and I am an experienced community advocate. For more than 10 years, I have volunteered with local shelters, and tenant engagement programs, supporting families, newcomers, and individuals experiencing homelessness. This hands-on work has given me a deep understanding of the challenges our community faces. I hold diplomas in Social Service Work and Paralegal Studies, with training in conflict resolution, mediation, and advocacy. Professionally, I have served as a Caseworker at a Member of Provincial Parliament’s constituency office, where I helped tenants resolve housing and social benefit concerns, and as an Executive Assistant to a Parliamentary Assistant, where I gained experience in advocacy, communications, and problem-solving. As a tenant myself, I understand the challenges we face, and I know how important it is to have fair representation, and practical solutions. If elected, I am committed to advocating for safe, healthy, and inclusive communities where tenants are heard and respected. Through collaboration, problem-solving, and community building, I will work hard to ensure our concerns are addressed and our collective voice shapes the future of Toronto Community Housing. Advocacy. Collaboration. Community leadership. Together, we can build a stronger tenant voice and create a community where everyone feels safe, supported, and valued."

      • Hi there! I'm Susel, a dedicated Community Advocate with an interest in advocating for unique, innovative and safe communities. Growing up surrounded by diverse cultures and communities gave me the opportunity to understand the many challenges some groups face. I developed a deep love for serving people, especially the voiceless. My journey began at very young age, volunteering for my local City Councillor and then doing my college placement at TCHC. Eventually leading me to establish an interest in policy making and community development and engagement. I graduated from Humber College with a Diploma in Social Service Work, and from York University with BA in Arts and Professional Studies (Sociology, Social Work, and Spanish). I have been a resident of TCHC for over 16 years, and served in various advisory committees across the City of Toronto. I see advocacy work as a powerful form of democratic politics, and I strive to empower individuals through my advocacy. Join me on this campaign to represent the TCHC residents of the West Region."

I will strive hard to see to it that all those in our community get to hear the needs of everyone. Since my family moved into this community, I saw that there was a lack of representation from those who live in our small community and I thought that I can fill that gap to represent those in need or those who may not be able to express their concerns for whatever reasons. I will be that representative. I will see to it, with your support, that our concerns are heard and met to the best of my ability. That’s is my desire. Thank you."

I have lived in Toronto Community Housing for several years and care deeply about our community and the people who call it home. I believe that every tenant deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported in their housing.

Over the years, I have been actively involved in building connections and creating opportunities for residents. I helped create a community flower garden that adds beauty to our space, and I am proud to share that our community vegetable garden will be open for the next growing season. I have also organized community events such as back-to-school BBQs, garage sales, and holiday dinners, bringing people together and fostering a stronger sense of belonging.

If elected, I will listen to residents’ concerns and work hard to bring your voices forward. My priorities include improving building maintenance, enhancing safety, and creating more opportunities for programs that benefit tenants of all ages. I strongly believe that when tenants are informed and involved, our community becomes stronger.

I am approachable, reliable, and committed to working with others to solve problems and represent our community fairly and respectfully. I would be honoured to have your support in this election. Together, we can build a safer, stronger, and more connected community."

      • "I believe that the Trethewey community needs someone who is hands-on and involved in the community. Someone who actually cares about the people and their opinions about what's happening in the community. I believe that this community will benefit from someone who is positively involved in what happens and how the buildings look. I have been working in the food bank for the last year and have made a lot of changes in peoples lives. This past summer, I started a mas camp for kiddies carnival in the community. The kids that took part in making their own costume and in the parade had a blast. I'm excited to share my past experiences with the younger and older generations and turn our community into a village. I'm always eager to learn and listen, and I also share my knowledge. Time for a positive change. Let's make Trethewey a great community for everyone."
