In some communities, the candidate has been acclaimed. This means that the number of nominees was equal to or less than the number of available positions, and so the candidate is elected without opposition. There was not an election in communities with acclamations, as voting is not needed.
Don't see your community or building? That may mean that there was no election. Check if your community is not having an election.

Your Tenant Council Member has been acclaimed:
- Chad Hamad
- "Hello, my name is Chad Hamad, and I am running for Tenant Council to represent the Fairview and Allenbury community. I have lived here for one and a half years, and I am deeply committed to making our neighbourhood a safer, more inclusive, and supportive place for everyone.
As someone with lived experience facing accessibility challenges, I understand how important it is to have housing that truly meets people’s needs. I have been a strong advocate for accessibility and fairness, speaking up to ensure tenants with disabilities are not overlooked when it comes to repairs, safety, and communication from management. Every tenant deserves dignity, respect, and timely solutions to the issues that affect daily life.
In addition to accessibility work, I have proudly helped advocate for the first non-smoking building in Toronto Community Housing’s portfolio. This achievement showed me the power of persistence, collaboration, and the importance of fighting for healthier, more livable spaces for tenants.
If elected to Tenant Council, I will continue that advocacy working to strengthen communication between tenants and management, push for transparency in decision making, and encourage community building activities that bring us closer together. My goal is not only to respond to concerns but also to proactively address challenges and ensure that our voices lead to real, positive change.
I believe our community can be a model for fairness, accessibility, and inclusion. With your support, I will be a strong, reliable voice for the tenants of Fairview and Allenbury."

- Amandeep Gill
- "My name is Amandeep Kaur Gill, and I am proud to run for Tenant Council to continue advocating for our community. Over the past six to seven years, I have dedicated my efforts to securing meaningful improvements for our buildings by raising concerns directly with City Councillors and MPPs. Through this advocacy, I helped secure an additional boiler to serve both 3181 and 3171 Eglinton Ave E, which had previously shared only one boiler. I also advocated for a new buzzer at one of our main entrances, as well as long-overdue upgrades, including new lights, kitchens, and floors in tenant units. In addition, I pushed for essential basement and roof repairs, and I am pleased that balcony repairs will soon be underway.
"I am running for Tenant Council because tenants deserve a strong and reliable voice in decisions that affect our homes and quality of life. I want to use my experience and persistence to ensure that tenant concerns are brought forward and acted upon at the Tenant Council table.
"If elected, I will continue to work for the repairs, improvements, and programs that strengthen our community. I will share updates with tenants, bring forward your ideas, and build stronger connections between neighbours, staff, and leaders across the city. Together, we can create a safer, more supportive, and vibrant community for everyone."

Your Tenant Council Member has been acclaimed:
- Nakesha Betty
- "Hello, good day, my name is Nakesha Betty. I have two kids as well. I moved here in December from another neighborhood where I was also the tenant representative there as well so I know what to expect and how to handle concerns and help with our community. I am so excited to run to be your next representative. If I am elected my first focus would be to try to re-introduce the food hub. That would mean getting funding and connecting with neighbourhood link. I understand that it is so hard sometimes to find food and services, especially in a low income community, and I can definitely relate. If you vote me in all of my fellow tenants will be heard and would get more information on what the food hub looks like and offers and how it would all benefit us in the long run. I would of course address other issues that was brought to my attention."

"I am honoured to be nominated for the Tenant Council and eager to bring my skills, experience, and dedication to serving our community. As a long-term resident, I understand both the challenges and opportunities we face as tenants, and I believe that with respectful communication, transparency, and collaboration, we can create a living environment where everyone feels valued and heard.
My background in healthcare, serving on committees and volunteering with different organizations in Toronto while being culturally sensitive; has given me the ability to work well with people from all walks of life. I am approachable, respectful, and committed to listening to the concerns of others. The type of person I am is: cordial, dedicated and disciplined with great decorum. I enjoy problem-solving and believe in finding fair solutions that balance the needs of individuals with the good of the whole community.
If elected, I will work to ensure that every tenant’s voice is represented and that important decisions are made with fairness and accountability. Together, we can strengthen our council, build unity, and create a positive living experience for all.
A true servant's heart - serving community for over a decade."
