Toronto Community Housing statement on fire at 275 Bleecker Street

On Saturday, February 15, at approximately 10:40 a.m., the Toronto Police Service (TPS) and Toronto Fire Services (TFS) responded to a serious fire at 275 Bleeker Street.

The fire has affected tenants on multiple floors, requiring overnight accommodation for some, which TCHC will provide. The Community Safety Unit (CSU) is working with TPS and TFS, who are leading the investigation, and TCHC Central Region staff are in the community to support tenants impacted by this incident. Additional staff resources and the City’s Community Crisis Response Program will be availabe to support tenants, as required.

Tenants on floors 1 to 5 returned to their units last night. Tenants on floor 6 are due to begin returning to their units on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
