Our Tenant Council Elections are done: thank you!

The 2025 Tenant Council Elections are complete across all regions! Thank you to all tenants who supported the elections by voting, running as a candidate, campaigning, and more. 

A total of 191 candidates ran in the 70 communities that held elections. An additional 89 tenants were acclaimed as members of their Tenant Council, meaning they were elected without opposition.

Elected tenant leaders from each building or townhouse will participate in Tenant Councils. There are a total of nine Tenant Councils, three per region. These councils will focus on leadership development, community development priorities, and initiatives. This gives tenants a stronger voice in local decision-making. 

Together, tenants and TCHC staff continue to strengthen tenant democracy across our communities. We look forward to our partnership in shaping programs, guiding local priorities, and strengthening our neighbourhoods.
