Investing in Our Diversity Scholarship (IIODS)

  • An annual scholarship for Toronto Community Housing youth based on strong academics, financial eligibility and involvement in leadership or anti-racism initiatives.
  • 2026 applications open in January.

City of Toronto drop-in and registered programs

  • Free youth drop-in and registered programs in basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, dance, music, and visual arts
  • Offered at the Lawrence Heights Community Centre

Lawrence Heights Enhance Youth Space (EYS)

  • EYS are supervised spaces open to youth seven days a week. Spaces have amenities like WiFi, gaming consoles, computers, and study spaces.
  • Programs include life skills building, employment readiness, continuing education supports, entrepreneurship, civic and community engagement.
  • Programs respond to the diverse and changing interests of local youth.
  • 5 Replin Rd, North York.
  • Open Monday to Friday, 1 to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.

Community Youth Nights

  • Drop-in program for youth aged 10 to 24.
  • Youth can enjoy a meal, play sports, join a dance group, swim, take classes or socialize with their peers.
  • Every Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m.

School's Out, Rec In programs

  • Drop-in program for youth aged 13 to 17
  • July 2 to August 15, 2025
  • Activities include basketball, soccer, tennis, multi-sport games and more
  • Offered at John Polanyi CI & Regina Mundi CS

Other youth programs and supports

  • Building Skills through Recreation (BSTR) is an employment readiness program offered by the City of Toronto
  • Youth Outreach Workers (YOWs) support youth aged 13 to 24
  • Recreation Liaison Youth and Family Supports is a way for Toronto Employment and Social Services (TESS), Parks and Recreation (PR), and Toronto Public Health (TPH) to come together to serve families who receive Ontario Works (OW) benefits.
